Following Art Jakarta Papers and Art Jakarta Gardens earlier this year, the fair's main 2026 edition will take place 2–4 October at JIExpo Kemayoran, gathering contemporary art from Indonesia and across Southeast Asia. Artistic director Enin Supriyanto framed the fair's role as a meeting point where visual-arts stakeholders can exchange ideas, build networks and keep the regional market dynamic. The 2026 edition features 75 galleries, more than half from Indonesia, with 33 international participants and 19 galleries joining for the first time. Special projects include an interactive presentation by Handiwirman Saputra, a new installation by Yogyakarta-based Endry Pragusta, Etza Meisyara's Gravity of the Unheld, Agnes Hansella's cable-waste installation Hutan Kabel and Aji Fajar/Palette Studio's The Curiosity Engine. Established sections SPOT, SCENE and AJX all return — AJX's Korea Focus runs for a second year with 14 South Korean galleries — while new this year is SCOPE, supported by the National Talent Management for Arts and Culture, whose MTN Market brings selected emerging art fairs and art communities from Malang, Pekanbaru, Banyumas, Gorontalo, Bekasi and Yogyakarta to Jakarta.
