Art Basel Paris will stage its fifth edition at the Grand Palais from October 23 to 25, 2026, with preview days on October 21 and 22, bringing together 211 galleries from 41 countries and territories. The lineup reflects the depth of the Paris gallery ecosystem alongside an expanded international footprint. The fair is organised into three sectors: 183 galleries in the main Galeries sector, 16 solo presentations in Emergence and 12 research-led projects in Premise. Thirty-two galleries are participating for the first time, while six graduate from Emergence into the main sector. A record 12 joint booths, pairing 24 galleries, will stage dialogues between distinct programmes and artistic perspectives. Sixty-four of the participating galleries operate spaces in France, underlining the fair's local anchoring. This year Premise moves into the 900-square-metre Salon Seine, giving greater visibility to presentations that revisit and expand established art-historical narratives. The section's research-driven projects have become one of the edition's signatures, rewarding galleries that invest in scholarship over simple booth display. The record number of joint booths points to a structural shift in how galleries use fairs. Pairing 24 galleries into 12 shared presentations lets dealers split costs while staging conversations between programmes that would rarely meet on a single stand. Six galleries graduating from Emergence into the main Galeries sector also signals a healthy pipeline of younger dealers maturing into the fair's core. Beyond the Grand Palais, an expanded Public Program extends across the city, with major commissions and presentations at the Petit Palais, the Palais d'Iena, the Cite de l'architecture et du patrimoine, the Beaux-Arts de Paris and several public squares and gardens. The October edition positions Paris as the autumn anchor of the international art calendar between the September fairs and Miami Beach in December.
