The Albertina in Vienna is presenting an exhibition that brings Pablo Picasso and Francis Bacon into direct dialogue, running from 18 September 2026 to 31 January 2027. With around 70 works, the show explores the two painters' shared subjects - crucifixions, bullfights, nudes, suffering and distorted bodies - and their parallel investigations of the human figure under pressure.
